Free Estate Planning for Police and Firefighters-May 11th

Posted Thursday, April 18, 2013 by John S. Palmer

The First Responder Will Clinic provides basic estate planning documents— wills, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives— for free to Washington police officers and firefighters (and their spouses or registered domestic partners).

The next clinic will be held at the Lacey Fire District Headquarters (1231 Franz Street) on Saturday, May 11, 2013. Preregistration is required because space is limited.

Click here to go directly to the official website for the First Responder Will Clinic, where you can find more information about the program, including how to pre-register, and a questionnaire for clinic clients.

Only Washington residents are eligible to participate, and must have assets of $750,000 or less ($1.5 million, if married).

Future clinics are also planned for Seattle on September 14 and Walla Walla on October 5 (at locations yet to be determined).

The First Responder Will Clinic is a program of the Young Lawyer’s Division of the Washington State Bar Association.
